Why did you choose this student?

Jordan Johnson is a senior at Central High. Her swimming coach describes her as,
“…a person of high character that is always willing to serve others before herself.”

Jordan is a model student at Central who currently maintains a weighted GPA of 3.74. Over the course of her academic career, she has challenged herself with 13 honors and Advanced Placement courses. She plans to attend the University of Wyoming in the fall where she will major in business and subsequently attend law school. She loves Wyoming and hopes to make it her home after law school.

Jordan is highly involved at Central. As an athlete, she swam competitively for four years. She participated in four years of speech and debate and was a national qualifier. Jordan’s participation in drama for four years was recently highlighted with a state championship in arena theatre.

In addition to Jordan’s involvement with her school, she serves the Cheyenne community with open arms. Jordan has served as a Cheyenne Frontier’s Day Dandy for the last four years and is active in the Frontier’s Day Indian Committee. She has filled and distributed Thanksgiving baskets for those in need, and she volunteers with the Women’s Civic League.

Jordan’s positive demeanor is apparent in the classroom, hallways, and at extracurricular activities. She is respectful, articulate and optimistic, which is why Central High is pleased to introduce Jordan Johnson as student of the week.
